Merge PDF files online

Merging joins several PDFs end to end into one file, which is far tidier to send or store than a pile of separate attachments, like a report and its appendices or a set of scanned invoices. Add your files, arrange them in the order you want, and they're stitched together page after page. It all happens on your own device, so nothing is ever uploaded.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Add your PDFs. Drag and drop them onto the box above, or click Select PDFs. Add two or more files.
  2. Put them in order. Drag the cards into the order you want, or use the move buttons on each one. The number badge shows each file's place in the merged document.
  3. Rotate if needed. If a file is sideways or upside down, click the rotate button in the corner of its preview to turn all of its pages 90° at a time.
  4. Click Merge PDFs. The files are combined into one, page after page, instantly in your browser.
  5. Download your single merged PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The files are merged entirely in your browser on your own device. They never leave your computer, which keeps them completely private.

Can I change the order of the files?

Yes. Drag the cards into any order, or use the move-earlier and move-later buttons on each one. The number badge shows where each file will appear in the merged PDF.

Can I rotate a PDF before merging?

Yes. Each file has a rotate button in the corner of its preview. Click it to turn that document 90° at a time — handy for scans or photos that came in sideways or upside down. The rotation is applied to all of its pages in the merged PDF.

Does merging keep all the pages?

Yes. Every page from each PDF is copied into the merged document, in the order you set, at full quality.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

No. You can combine as many PDF files as you like. Very large files use more of your device's memory, but there's no fixed limit.

Can it merge password-protected PDFs?

Encrypted or password-protected PDFs may not open for merging. If a file can't be read, remove its protection first and try again.

Is it really free?

Yes — it's free with no signup, no watermark, and no limit on the number of files you can merge.
